Rocky Mountain National Park

In early August, we traveled to Rocky Mountain National Park with my parents. Since Mom and Dad travel out there almost every year, we had built-in tour guides! We hiked, played in streams, and explored the area. We participated in the ranger programs and Keara and Easton earned their Junior Ranger badges! I think they still had mine on file from 1984!! We had great weather and had a wonderful time. I keep hearing from Keara and Easton, 'when we going back to Colorado and roast marshmellons?'

Allen and I took off one afternoon and hiked up Deer Mountain. This is from the top.

We drove up Old Falls River Road and took a couple trails on the way up.

All of us in front of Chasm Falls.
Allen being "a good example" (huh-um) and crossing the stream!
Building dams.
Hiking up to Mills Lake. We hiked 6 miles that day- pretty good for little feet!

A growly bear at the end of the trail!

Mmmm...

...smores!

Our group was in charge of mixing together the corn casserole.

We had to take turns stirring!

We played games, and...

sang songs with beanbags :), and...

dressed up like Indians and Pilgrims and enjoyed our food.

Just one of the fun holiday traditions. Luckily, Allen somewhat enjoys it!

Lulu decided to help too and climbed the ladder to the roof.

Keara- Princess Belle, Easton- Spiderman

Easton giving us 'web in the eyes'

Trick or treat! I think Easton probably rang that doorbell about three times!

We could have gone to 100 houses and Keara still would have said, go next house, more candy!

Easton was most excited about his suckers! He dug through one lady's bowl for about a minute straight saying, 'no, want something better' until he came upon a sucker!

Allen as Spiderman. Thank god they don't make that costume for adults!

Me, simply trying to live a dream! Although it is nice not to have an evil step-mother that tries to kill me or locks me in an attic!
